Στον Κόλιν Φάρελ το βραβείο ανδρικής ερμηνείας στο Φεστιβάλ της Βενετίας

Mε το βραβείο του καλύτερου ηθοποιού τιμήθηκε ο Ιρλανδός ηθοποιός, Κόλιν Φάρελ, για την ερμηνεία του στην ταινία «The Banshees Of Inisherin», την μαύρη κωμωδία του Μάρτιν ΜακΝτόνα.

Χρόνια μετά το φιλμ «Αποστολή στην Μπρίζ» του Ιρλανδού σκηνοθέτη, ο εκπληκτικός Κόλιν Φάρελ και ο Μπρένταν Γκλίσον συναντήθηκαν ξανά στην ταινία «Τα πνεύματα του Ινισέριν» με τις ερμηνείες τους να κερδίζουν κοινό και κριτικούς.

Η ταινία αναφέρεται στον «εμφύλιο» πόλεμο δύο Ιρλανδών πρώην φίλων κατοίκων του μικρού νησιού Ινισέριν και την ώρα που απέναντι, στο μεγάλο νησί της Ιρλανδίας μαίνεται ο πραγματικός εμφύλιος.

Επιλέγοντας παράξενους και περίπλοκους ρόλους ο γεννημένος στις 31 Μαϊου 1976  ηθοποιός έχει διαγράψει μια εξαιρετική πορεία στο σινεμά με τους σκηνοθέτες να τον επιλέγουν για να πρωταγωνιστεί στις ταινίες τους.

Το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Βενετίας (Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia – International Exhibition of Cinematographic Art of the Venice Biennale) είναι το παλαιότερο φεστιβάλ κινηματογράφου στον κόσμο και ένα από τα τρία μεγαλύτερα κινηματογραφικά φεστιβάλ μαζί με το Φεστιβάλ Καννών και το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου του Βερολίνου.
